My mom waged a pro-active, determined, tireless and resouceful battle for over a decade against non-hodgskins lymphoma. At no time did she ever give up hope or her will to survive the disease. She gave strength to her children, her husband and her friends. For having given so much, having suffered for so long, mom was always able to see the beauty in life - and to share it with those around her.
Children stricken with cancer have lost the freedom and whimsy of youth - the camps that will benefit from this ride bring some of the beauty and wonder of the world back to these kids. This is a noble end - one that fits well with how mom saw life.
